Dickens in the Snow
Featuring Jan Nieuwenhuis on Bass-guitar
Merry Christmas!!!
Frost on the window makes pretty flowers
In a dream i was called by this big bright star
On a snow-covered hill a snowman’s waiting
He takes off his wide-brimmed hat to wave at me
My old snow-scene painting comes to life
A sleigh comes out with graceful dancing horses
A little Robin on the prow is pointing the direction
Through the half-lit streets of London town
I still dream away at Christmas time
In a fairytale way i picture the world
Dickens in the snow Elves on the north pole
Gingerbread Chocolate and Chestnuts
People in the street singing Christmas Carols
Guided by old Horns and Bells
When the sun shows up and the wind lies down
In my dream we watch magical Christmas windows
And we sing under the tree at Covent Garden
Before the late afternoon routine in the Leaky Cauldron
Skies turn back to grey snow is gonna fall
With a Hot-Buttered Rum in the Ferris wheel
Neon-sign reflections down in the river create
The shape of an owl in a patchwork long-coat
I still dream away at Christmas time
In a fairytale way i picture the world
Dickens in the snow Elves on the north pole
Gingerbread Eggnog and Chestnuts
People in the street singing Christmas Carols
Guided by old Horns and Bells
Yeah! Dickens in the snow Elves on the north pole
Gingerbread Chocolate and Chestnuts
People in the street singing Christmas Carols
Guided by old Horns and Bells
